1. What is Auto Sales Manager 2004?
Auto Sales Manager is an easy to use solution for managing online Automotive listings for your business.

The system uses a client side desktop application to connect to a database server, which allows you to update and maintain auto listings. Salespersons from your dealership or office can log into the Auto Sales Manager administrative interface and add, delete, or maintain existing listings with very little effort.

Customers can then browse your listings from the customer interface on your website.

2. What are the new features for Auto Sales Manager 2004
Some of the new features of ASM 2004 include enhancements to the administrative application, as well as enhancements to the web based customer interface.

The web based customer interface has been completely re-programmed in PHP, a faster and easier to customize web programming language. Additionally, new features have been added such as the ability to search inventory, as well as view newly posted items.

The administrative interface has also been completely re-programmed in Java, a more widely used and supportable programming language. Additionally, new features include support for up to 11 item pictures, as well as additional item details/attributes. As well as the ability to easily manage registered customers and categories.

3. How many listings can I have at once?
You can have an unlimited number of listings. Although in theory, the amount of listings may be limited by the maximum size of your SQL database, or the load that your SQL and web server can handle. Because of this, we recommend that you go with Auto Sales Manager 2004 - Managed Edition.

4. Can I customize the look of the customer interface/templates?
Yes, you have the ability to customize the look of the customer interface. The interface uses the PHP Smarty template engine. Further information can be found at http://smarty.php.net/

5. Can I post images?
Yes, Auto Sales Manager 2004 now supports image posting for each listing. Up to 11 images per item can be posted. The first image acts as a designated "preview" image, which will be used any time a preview of the item is requested (using the preview image icon). And the last image can be setup to act as a "special" image which can be used to contain a scanned image of a vehicle inspection report, etc.

6. Is there any technical support?

7. What operating systems can I run Auto Sales Manager 2004 on?
The administrative application currently supports Microsoft Windows 2000, and XP. The server side client interface software supports Linux and Microsoft NT/2000/XP/Server 2003.
